John Major
John Major is a British politician who served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1990 to 1997. A member of the Conservative Party, he succeeded Margaret Thatcher and focused on domestic policies such as the National Health Service and economic management, as well as foreign affairs, including the peace process in Northern Ireland. Known for his understated style, Major has largely stayed out of contemporary political debates but recently spoke out against the isolationist policies of Donald Trump, warning that the retreat of the US from global leadership could threaten democracy worldwide.
