Raymond Johansen
Raymond Johansen is a prominent Norwegian politician, known for his long-standing affiliation with the Labour Party (Arbeiderpartiet). He served as the Mayor of Oslo from 2015 to 2023 and was the party's secretary from 2009 to 2015. His political career began with the Socialist Left Party (SV), where he was the leader of Oslo SV and held a position as a city councillor before transitioning to Labour. Johansen has also served as a deputy minister under Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and has recently taken on the role of Secretary General at Norwegian People's Aid after stepping down as Mayor. He has been involved in various sports-related initiatives, including evaluating the use of VAR in Norwegian football. In February 2025, he announced that he would not seek re-election to the Labour Party's central board.
