Rulon Jeffs
Rulon Jeffs was the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) from 1986 until his death in 2002. Under his leadership, he centralized power within the church, eliminating the governing council and establishing himself as the sole prophet. He was known for promoting polygamy as a divine requirement and had at least 20 wives. His death paved the way for his son, Warren Jeffs, to take control of the FLDS.
