Ruixue Jia
Ruixue Jia is a prominent economist and professor at the University of California San Diego, where she leads the China Data Lab. Born in a small village in China in 1984 during the one-child policy, she was adopted and later became one of the top performers in the Gaokao, China’s rigorous national college entrance examination. Her academic journey began in Beijing, where she studied economics, and she later received her PhD from Stockholm University.
