Olara Otunu
Olara Otunu is a Ugandan diplomat and former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, serving from 1997 to 2005. During his tenure, he was a special representative for children and armed conflict under then-Secretary-General Kofi Annan. With extensive experience in international diplomacy and humanitarian work, Otunu has been nominated by the Ugandan government as a candidate for the next UN Secretary-General, making him the seventh official contender in the race to succeed Antonio Guterres.
