Kabila
Joseph Kabila served as the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo from 2001 to 2019, following the assassination of his father, Laurent-Désiré Kabila. His presidency was marked by efforts to stabilize the country amid ongoing conflict and attempts to improve its economy, particularly in the mining sector. Kabila's rule ended after a controversial election in 2018, and he has been involved in discussions regarding peace agreements in the region, particularly in relation to the current tensions with Rwanda.
