Franz Stephan
Franz Stephan (1708–1765) was a Holy Roman Emperor and the consort of Empress Maria Theresa. As the Grand Duke of Tuscany and Duke of Lorraine, he played a significant role in the politics of Central Europe during the 18th century. His reign was marked by efforts to modernize and centralize administration in his territories, as well as his support for the arts and architecture, including the development of Vienna as a cultural hub.
