August III
August III was the King of Poland and Elector of Saxony during the mid-18th century. His reign followed that of his father, August II, and continued the challenges of maintaining a strong monarchy amid the growing influence of foreign powers, particularly Russia. Despite his efforts to support arts and culture, his rule was marked by significant political difficulties and the eventual decline of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
