Vintilă Brătianu
Vintilă Brătianu was a prominent Romanian engineer and liberal politician, born on December 2, 1867, in Bucharest. He served as Prime Minister of Romania from 1927 to 1928 and was known for his significant contributions to the country's infrastructure, having participated in the construction of major bridges. A member of the National Liberal Party since 1901, he became its president in 1927 and was an advocate for the 'Through Us Alone' economic policy, which aimed at developing local capital and industry. He held various public offices including Mayor of Bucharest and Minister of War, and he opposed King Carol II's return to the throne in 1930, which led to a rift within the party. He passed away on December 22, 1930, in Râmnicu Vâlcea.
