Sherzod Xikmatullayevich Xodjayev

Sherzod Xodjayev has been appointed as the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, following a presidential decree. His nomination was previously approved by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. He takes over the position from Jo‘rabek Mirzamahmudov, having served in various roles within the energy sector since 1998, including as Deputy Minister of Energy and director of the Project Office for the reform of the electric power sector. Prior to his current role, he was the director of the newly established Agency for the Development and Regulation of the Energy Market.
