Sharif Ahmadzai
Sharif Ahmadzai is a 26-year-old Afghan national and former champion boxer who was arrested in Athens on suspicion of murdering British charity volunteer Elisabeth-Jane Ross. Ahmadzai, who fled Afghanistan as a teenager after his family was killed by the Taliban, had been involved in charitable work through an NGO he co-ran with his wife, Alaina Hall. Reports indicate that he allegedly killed Ross, used her bank cards, and attempted to mislead her family about her whereabouts before being apprehended by police.
