Martinez founded 'Pushing Pawns,' a company that provides chess coaches for youth in New York. He recently gained attention for participating in a historic chess marathon, where he, alongside Tunde Onakoya, broke the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon by playing continuously for 64 hours.
