Sadika Biluš (82) was a revered internist and gastroenterologist known for her bravery and dedication during the siege of Vukovar in 1991. Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she moved to Vukovar for love, where she worked tirelessly in a hospital, treating hundreds of wounded civilians under constant bombardment. After surviving the fall of the city and enduring a harrowing experience in a prison camp, she later established a medical clinic and continued to serve her community, notably providing free medical care after the Petrinja earthquake. Despite facing personal tragedies, including the loss of her daughter, she remained a symbol of resilience and compassion until her passing due to illness.
