Princess Beatrice, born on April 20, 1884, in Kent, England, was a notable member of the British royal family, being the granddaughter of Queen Victoria. She was the daughter of Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia. Beatrice had a romantic relationship with Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich of Russia, which was ultimately thwarted by opposition from the Russian Orthodox Church and the Tsar. In 1909, she married Prince Alfonso of Orleans y Borbón, but they faced political challenges that forced them into exile before returning to Spain. Beatrice converted to Catholicism in 1913 and lived a life intertwined with royal duties and family, ultimately passing away on July 13, 1966.
