Peter Runggaldier is a former Italian alpine ski racer, renowned for his achievements in the early 1990s, including winning a silver medal in the downhill event at the 1991 World Championships in Saalbach and claiming the small crystal globe in super-G for the 1994/95 season. He celebrated two World Cup victories and secured twelve podium finishes throughout his career, making him one of the standout figures in Italian skiing. Recently, he was involved in a severe motorcycle accident on the Pordoi Pass, resulting in multiple fractures, while he is currently reported to be in stable condition.
