Ozod Sharafiddinov
Ozod Sharafiddinov was a prominent Uzbek literary scholar, writer, and professor born on March 1, 1929, in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan. He graduated from the Philology Faculty of Tashkent State University and pursued further studies at the Institute of World Literature in Moscow. Throughout his career, he contributed significantly to Uzbek literature, authoring numerous works, including 'Zamon. Qalb. Poeziya' and 'XX asr o‘zbek adabiyoti tarixi'. He also served as a professor at the National University of Uzbekistan and was involved with literary journals such as 'Tafakkur' and 'Jahon adabiyoti'. A prolific translator, he translated works of international authors into Uzbek, enhancing literary dialogue. Sharafiddinov passed away in 2005, leaving a lasting legacy in Uzbek literature and scholarship.
