Özlem Akyılmaz
Özlem Akyılmaz is a political advisor who has been working with Veli Ağbaba, a member of the Turkish Parliament from the Republican People's Party (CHP), since 2011. Recently, she was detained and subsequently arrested as part of an investigation by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding allegations of bribery connected to construction permits in Seferihisar. Akyılmaz claimed that the funds involved were intended as scholarships for earthquake-affected students in Malatya, rather than bribes.
