Nadhira al-Harthi was a pioneering Omani mountaineer, recognized as the first woman from Oman to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 2019. Tragically, she was among the victims of a recent avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan, which claimed the lives of multiple climbers.
