Lê Chí Phan
Lê Chí Phan was a prominent figure during the Vietnam War, serving as the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Son district. In June 1972, he led a group of 1,000 laborers, primarily teachers and students, in reinforcing the embankment along the Ma River, a critical task aimed at preventing flooding amid heavy bombardment by American forces. His leadership during this perilous time is remembered as he recounts the tragic events of June 14, 1972, when a bombing raid resulted in the deaths of many of those he commanded.
