Khaled al-Halabi
Khaled al-Halabi is a former Syrian general who led one of the most notorious prisons of the Syrian intelligence service, known for his direct involvement in systematic torture during the Syrian civil war. His actions at the infamous Detention Facility 335 in Raqqa, where detainees suffered extreme abuses, have led to his identification as a key figure in the regime's brutality. After fleeing Syria, al-Halabi received protection from the Israeli Mossad and was eventually granted asylum in Austria, where he lived until being arrested in connection with war crimes.
