Jonah the Prophet is a significant figure in the Abrahamic religions, revered as a prophet in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. He is best known for his story in the Book of Jonah, where he is swallowed by a large fish (often referred to as a whale) and spends three days and nights in its belly before being delivered back to land. This story is often interpreted as a symbol of repentance and divine mercy, as Jonah ultimately fulfills God's command to preach repentance to the city of Nineveh.
