Hilda O'Malley, née Moriarty, was a prominent figure in Irish history, known for her connection to the landmark educational reforms introduced by her husband, Donogh O'Malley, as well as her relationship with the poet Patrick Kavanagh, who famously wrote 'On Raglan Road' about her. A medical graduate of University College Dublin, she played a significant role in the social and cultural life of Limerick during her time at Sunville House, which hosted many notable political and artistic figures.
