Flávia Pellegrino
Flávia Pellegrino is a Brazilian journalist and political scientist, currently serving as the executive director of the Pact for Democracy. With over a decade of experience in civil society networks advocating for democracy and human rights, she holds a master's degree from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University. Pellegrino's activism was notably influenced by her research on the transformative protests of June 2013, leading her to return to Brazil and contribute significantly to the coalition formed in response to the assassination of councilwoman Marielle Franco in 2018. Under her leadership, the Pact for Democracy has gained international recognition for its efforts to combat authoritarianism and strengthen democratic institutions in Brazil.
