Fernando Armando Leiva
Fernando Armando Leiva, also known as 'Mamalicha', was a notorious figure linked to criminal organizations in western Honduras, particularly in the Copán department. He gained notoriety for his involvement in homicide cover-up and illegal possession of firearms, leading to his arrest in 2006. Leiva was implicated in investigations related to vehicle theft and smuggling. His name resurfaced in the news following the assassination of his son, attorney Fredy Fernando Leiva Ramos, in Copán. Leiva was released from prison in 2007 due to terminal illness but was later killed in a shooting incident in 2011.
