Erez Kahana
Erez Kahana z'l was a 22-year-old Israeli who displayed incredible bravery during a hostage situation in Kashmir in June 1991. As one of the six Israeli travelers taken captive by armed militants, Kahana initiated a daring escape attempt that involved a coordinated assault on their captors. Tragically, he lost his life during the confrontation, but his courageous actions led to the eventual escape of his friends, marking him as a hero in the eyes of his fellow countrymen.
