Eberhard Finckh
Eberhard Finckh was a German Wehrmacht officer who actively opposed the Nazi regime. Born in 1899 into a family of physicians, he served as a military officer in both World Wars. Finckh became involved in the resistance against Hitler, particularly through his connections with Claus von Stauffenberg, and participated in the July 20, 1944, assassination attempt on Hitler. After the attempt failed, he was arrested, tried, and executed for treason on August 30, 1944. His legacy is marked by his commitment to ending the Nazi regime, which ultimately cost him his life.
