Boris Matveychuk
Boris Matveychuk is a Belarusian bus driver who has been living in Poland since 2015. He works for GAiT, driving bus route No. 283, which serves patients of the University Clinical Center. Recently, he gained recognition for his brave actions when he and a Ukrainian shipyard worker, Ruslan, intervened to save an elderly couple from an attacker in July. Matveychuk's quick response not only helped the victims but also led to the arrest of the assailant. His actions earned him heartfelt gratitude from the victims, highlighting his character and sense of duty. Matveychuk has lived in various countries, including a period in Sweden before settling in Trójmiasto, Poland, where he decided to build a new life after his brother moved there. He recently became a Polish citizen.
