Andrus Asmolovsky
Andrus Asmolovsky is a Belarusian activist known for his courageous act during a protest on March 25, 2017, when he retrieved a national flag from the ground amidst a police crackdown. Despite being a political prisoner after the events of 2020, he has been involved in the opposition movement for over 20 years. After facing violence and detention for participating in protests, he fled to Poland, where he attempted to build a new life, but returned to Belarus, only to be arrested again. Asmolovsky has since been working to rebuild his life after imprisonment, currently studying architecture and working to support himself while navigating the challenges faced by former political prisoners.
