In 2019, he transitioned to the private sector, founding a consulting company and becoming involved in various professional organizations. His recent arrest in late 2025 was linked to accusations of aiding extremist activities, specifically related to the 'Gaiun case,' which involves monitoring military activities during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He was recently sentenced to house arrest.
